Terms & Conditions

  • All hire charges are payable in advance.
  • All orders will be subject to a refundable cash deposit
  • Additional charges will be incurred for:
    • broken, chipped, burnt, un-returned goods
    • unwashed or dirty goods returned
    • late returns
    • call outs outside of business hours
  • Linen must be returned DRY and UNWASHED
    • Linen damaged by candle wax, burns, stains, etc, will be charged for. Additional linen charges for Stains, etc.
  • Deposits are withheld until all items are inspected and accounted for. All items will only be checked upon return to premises. Nothing is checked upon collection.
  • All items must be checked before acceptance or NO claims will be recognized.
  • Electrical or gas equipment will be checked before delivery to confirm that it is in working order. Any failures thereafter shall be the Hirers responsibility.
  • All items are hired at the Hirers risk.
  • Hire charges are for the time goods are in your possession and not whether you used them or not.
  • Discrepancies must be reported within 12 hours or prior to the function whichever is the soonest. We reserve the right to inspect the discrepancy before use. Claims will not be entertained unless this procedure is adhered to.
  • All items remain the property of Elegant Occasions.
  • Tables and chairs hired through Elegant Occasions will be subject to the following conditions:
    • Chairs may only be stacked upwards and not lying down
    • Hirer is to supply his/her own rope and tables and chairs are to be secured with rope
  • Theft of any items are for the hirers account.
